There are several reasons, some serious, why this happens. you might want to talk to a dr. You can have something as simple as carpel tunnel or something as serious as a heart condition. Try using the hand braces that you wear for carpel tunnel. This can help temp until you can make it to A DR.

I just had a fairly severe heart palpitation and had trouble breathing for a few seconds, then hardly a minute later my entire right arm went numb and felt full of pressure. I’m 17 but have had a fairly stressful life. Is this normal and healthy? Or could it just be from sitting funny?!

Numb left arm/hand, neck pain.?

Question by calbear526: Numb left arm/hand, neck pain.?
I’m a 30 year old male…

So starting from about two days back, my left hand (particularly the pinky) has started to tingle. I’ve also had a considerable amount of neck pain (no recent trauma, but had a car accident four+ years ago) but have always assumed this was due to my horrendous posture. I now have a popping in my neck quite often.

I also had something of an odd sensation in my leg two nights ago.

I’ve just moved to a new area, have a PPO (no need for a referral) and obviously need to go to a doctor.

Who should I go see? I’d like to get this assessed ASAP.

I’m rather scared given what I’ve read it might be and considering how young I’d seem to be to experience much of what I’ve read could be the case (like osteoarthritis in the neck etc).

I appreciate any feedback.

numbness and neck pain usually indicate a pinched nerve. you can go to your doctor, but your best bet to getting it fixed is a chiropractor. if you decide to go to a chiropractor, they will also check out and make sure there is nothing else pinch or out of whack.

Dufner seems numb after throwing away major win

Article by Lanyu

Dufner seems numb after throwing away major win

Jason Dufner never showed much emotion at the PGA Championship. Not when he had the Wanamaker Trophy in the bag. Not when he threw it all away.

As the sun set on Atlanta Athletic Club, he just seemed numb.

Dufner wound up on the wrong end of one of the greatest comebacks in major championship history Sunday. Keegan Bradley overcame a five-shot deficit with three holes left in regulation, then beat Dufner in a three-hole playoff.

“I’m so new at this situation, I don’t know if I appreciate it as much as I will,” Dufner said, quickly adding, “soon.”

The 34-year-old Dufner had not made a cut since late May and he’d never won on the PGA Tour — yet, here he was, on cusp of winning one of the biggest events of all. He was playing textbook golf for the tough setup, keeping his ball in the fairway better than anyone and rolling the ball with poise and confidence on the greens.

He strolled the grounds like he owned the place, occasionally cracking a bit of a smile but mostly just staring straight ahead, as if this was his destiny.

Dufner went to the 15th tee four strokes ahead of the field and five up on Bradley, who had just made triple bogey at the par-3 hole after knocking his second shot in the water.

But three straight bogeys by Dufner and two straight birdies by Bradley forced a playoff. Dufner might have erased all the bad karma with his second shot of the playoff, a laser from the fairway that nearly went in for eagle. The ball slid about an inch wide of the cup, and he threw up his arms in his most bombastic gesture all week.

Then, he missed a 6-footer for birdie.

When Bradley made his birdie try, Dufner was out of the lead for the first time all day. Thus, many people believe it is not their ability differences but their iron drivers that made them receive different results. The iron one Bradley waved is Callaway RAZR X Irons. And it is now quiet popular at golf clubs for sale due to Bradley’s success.

Turns out, he was done. Dufner three-putted the 17th for a bogey, leaving him two shots behind. Not even a brilliant birdie at the brutal 18th hole was enough; Bradley barely cleared the water with his approach, two-putted for par and celebrated a one-stroke win.

Now, Dufner can take his place with all the guys who’ve endured heartbreak at the majors, from Scott Hoch to Jean Van de Velde.

“Maybe looking back in 10 or 15 years, I’ll be disappointed if I never get another chance,” Dufner said. “But I have a feeling I’ll have more chances in a major to close one out.”

The last four holes at Atlanta comprise one of the toughest finishing stretches in major championship history, but Dufner had breezed right through those the first three days — a cumulative 3 under, not one bogey on his card.

Q&A: My arm/hand goes numb…is it a pinched nerve?

Question by : My arm/hand goes numb…is it a pinched nerve?
I will wake up several times during the night to my whole left arm & hand being asleep. I’ve never had this problem before. If I sit and hold my arm a certain way it’ll start to go back to sleep after I’m up. Also, during the daytime I feel a very dull throbbing sensation down my arm to my middle & ring finger mostly & sometimes including my index finger. It makes my hand very weak. I think it might be a pinched nerve in my back. There is a spot between my spine and shoulder blade thats about 5-6 inches down from neck that aches. It hurts yet feels good to massage it. Could it possibly be a pinched nerve? Or just an inflamed area causing blood flow restriction. Please help. I don’t know what to do.
I understand sleeping on your arm makes it go numb, but it will do it no matter what position i sleep in. This is why I think its related to nerve & blood flow restriction.
I’m a bartender and use this arm to lift the bottles as I pour drinks. I’ve looked up symptoms of carpal tunnel and it does seem to mimick the symptoms except for the knotted spot that aches in my back shoulder area. Thats why I still think its a nerve pinched.

You’ve been sleeping on your arm, cutting off blood flow, causing the numbness and you to wake up, the aching is probably being caused by this too.

Fine Treatment Announces First Pain Relief Treatment with Thermobalancing Therapy for Your Spine vs. Painkillers and Medication

London, UK (PRWEB) December 28, 2011

The effective natural treatment for intervertebral discs with Dr Allens devices for the first time tackles the cause of a problem and by terminating swelling in the spine relieves pain naturally.

Taking painkillers blocks not only pain signals to the brain but also functional ones which are essential for normal performance of the body. They are not only unsuccessful in a treatment but in many cases depress metabolic processes for the normal functioning of the body. As a result different researches have suggested that taking painkillers may increase the risk for kidney problems or people taking painkillers such as ibuprofen face a greater risk of suffering a second heart attack. Furthermore, most of painkillers users can feel constipation and fatigue.

The hopelessness of treatment with medication and painkillers for lower back pain treatment is the reason why people look for surgical solutions, the consequences of which are often extremely poor: bleeding, infection, spinal fluid leaks, nerve damage and paralysis.

There is no logical reason why people should avoid the first effective natural painkiller, says Dr Allen. Our device for lower vertebrae care relieves back pain but also treats the intervertebral disc in your spine.

Dr Allen in his research the Origin of Diseases has explained that the process of the development a problem in the spine as follows: the swelling of the tissue in the spine results with the deficiency of blood circulation through this tissue and thus the affected tissue does not get enough blood. This in turn lowers the temperature in this micro area which worsens the condition because it leads to further expansion of capillaries (additional swelling), and consequently to greater pressure on the intervertebral discs that changes its configuration.

Dr Allens Device for Lower Vertebrae Care creates an ideal environment for capillaries to stabilise the body temperature in the spine tissue. This improves the blood flow in the tissue stopping the capillaries grows. Consequently the pressure on the nerves decreases reducing pain and other lower back pain symptoms.
