Question by Mike: Is chest pain on the right side something to be worried about?
I have a chest pain on the right side of my body (a few inches to the right of my sternum) I also have a pain in my back in the equivelent position. Kinda like it’s going straight through me. My back has been hurting a while but I know that’s muscular. However the chest pain is worring me a little. It started last night when I was laying on my left arm and it hurts more when I inhale deeply. Does anyone have any idea what this is from or if I should be worried?
(little add on as to why I asked here as opposed to just going to the Dr is that his office is closed until monday and the hospital is pretty far so I wanted to see if there is the chance I could wait on it a little and see if it improved at all)

Do you suffer from GERD or acid and reflux disease? A good healthy diet for GERD can often cure GERD rather than just suppressing it with medication. Doctors often prescribe medication to prevent the effects of acid and reflux or GERD but the fact is that this medication really doesn’t do anything to cure these problems.acid and reflux syndrome is gastro esophageal reflux disease that is generally known as GERD. If not treated on time acid and reflux disease can cause damage to the esophagus which can sometimes escort up to esophageal cancer. When the acid moves up into the esophagus the burning feeling you experience is actually causing annoyance to the lining of the esophagus. People who have unrelieved acid and reflux will usually feel this frustration because they never have a chance for it to heal. Continuous irritation can lead to enduring injury.
Being the most common symptom to the complicated and chronic condition heartburn and acid and reflux disorder usually come together. When digestive acids are refluxed back into the esophagus the inflammation spreads as a burning sensation in the chest thus the name heartburn. This type or irritation is caused by the structural location of the esophagus that lies just near the heart.
eating unfamiliar foods can be deadly. Indigestion is nature’s warning sign it says be careful of what you eat.

Heartburn begins as a burning pain behind the breastbone and it then usually radiates upward to the neck. There is often a sensation of food coming back into the mouth and is accompanied by a sour or bitter taste in the mouth.
Heartburn kills the joy of eating a good meal. It is a burning sensation that takes place behind your breastbone and ribs. It is caused by movement of the stomach acid upwards to the esophagus. What can you do when you are suffering from this condition? How to get fast heartburn relief?
If you want to know how to cure your GERD it is best to consider a holistic approach to treating it. And one common area that needs to be given targeted attention and action to is your food intake. As true as the saying goes ‘What you eat determines who you are’ – think back at the times prior to your diagnosis of GERD. What constituted your normal diet? What were your favorite foods and how often do you go about consuming them?
Persistent acid and reflux or heartburn known as gastroesophageal reflux disease or GERD is extremely common. It’s caused by stomach acids backing up your esophagus and causing irritation and up to 60% of the population suffers at least yearly. An incredible 20-30% suffer weekly and unfortunately that includes me. Even worse there is a link to esophageal cancer.

Does it happen to you that sometimes you wake up and feel a tingling in one of your body parts? Arm sleep problems affect many people, and they manifest when people wake up in the middle of the night and notice that their arm or hand feels numb and immobile but they do not know what happened or what caused it, all they know is that they feel an uncomfortable sensation when they roll over and they can’t move one of their arms and that the icky sensation gets stronger as time passes.
Arm sleep mostly occurs when you have been sleeping on your arm for a long time, something that is very likely for people who sleep in a side position or back sleepers who fold their arms behind their head and then fall asleep. Since your arm was squeezed so tightly for a long period of time, the pressure makes it hard for your brain to send impulses. During arm sleep, arteries can be squeezed tightly too, so no nutrients will make their way to those body cells which begin behaving oddly, therefore you experience unpleasant sensations like arm sleep that don’t allow you to operate your arm properly. The numbness and tingling are the way how your arm tells you that it’s a bit out of sorts.
So you experience arm sleep when there is an interruption of transmission between your brain and your arm and your nerve cells may not be sending impulses the way they should be. Then you wake up and feel a tingling and a burning before your arm reverts to normal after a while. It is uncomfortable but there is really no danger unless circulation is cut off for a very long extended period of time. Those sensations are just a good cue that it’s time to turn over and change your sleeping position.
What can you do to avoid these uncomfortable sensations then?
Side sleeping increases your chances of becoming a candidate for arm sleep. This is because when you sleep on our side, your shoulders and arms always seem to get in the way. The best thing you can do to possibly ward off arm sleep is to invest in a side sleeper pillow like the Sleep Better Pillow. A side sleeper pillow compensates for your body parts, allowing for proper body alignment when you sleep. But there is more, the Sleep Better Pillow has arm tunnels under it that work like a bridge, so that the top supports the weight of your head and neck, while the bottom allows your arm to rest comfortably when positioned under your head without feeling any pressure giving your arm more freedom of movement. So now you can improve your sleeping and forget about waking up in the middle of the night feeling pain or discomfort in your arm forever!!

When we talk about blood pressure, mean pressure generated by the heart and promote blood into the arteries. Once the heart sends blood (systole), gives the systolic pressure (the great). The next time the heart relaxes and fills with blood (diastole). Then comes the diastolic pressure (the low). So both these two pressures are the heart and increases when it is equally harmful.

Liposuction is the surgical removal of excess fat, offering a better contour and shape to the body. As people gain and lose weight, certain areas of the body tend to develop deposits of unwanted fat that can be difficult to get rid of through diet and exercise. Liposuction can offer permanent removal of these fatty cells. Today, a number of new techniques, including ultrasound-assisted lipoplasty (UAL), power-assisted lipoplasty (PAL), VASER, the tumescent technique, and the super-wet technique, are helping many plastic surgeons to provide selected patients with more precise results and quicker recovery times.
Liposuction surgery can be performed on patients of any age, but the best results are seen in liposuction patients who have skin that has not lost its elasticity i.e. the younger the skin, the better the result.
Am I a good candidate for liposuction surgery?
To be a good candidate for liposuction surgery, you should have realistic expectations about what the procedure can do for you. Most often, patients with localized fat in the following areas are good candidates for the liposuction procedure:
